Saad qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1999. He started his academic career as a senior lecturer in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Sheffield Hallam University in 2005 and led the contemporary musculoskeletal rehabilitation module within the advanced M.Sc. program for many years. He has completed a master's in musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and Manual therapy Diploma (MACP route) from Sheffield Hallam University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. with a focus on the role of Exercise and Physical activity in the management of Musculoskeletal problems.
Saad has taught extensively both nationally and internationally. This course is part of the popular Orthopaedic Manual and Exercise Therapy Certificate that has been delivered over 300 times in 17 countries.
Objectives:
1. Understand Spinal Pathologies:

Describe the anatomy, biomechanics, and pathophysiology underlying cervical myelopathy, spinal stenosis, spinal sequestration, and spondylolisthesis.

Identify clinical and radiological signs that differentiate these conditions.
2. Diagnosis and Assessment:

Develop a systematic approach to history-taking and physical examination for musculoskeletal spinal disorders.
3. The Small Wins Approach:

Define the principles of the Small Wins Approach in managing spinal conditions.

Integrate goal-setting strategies to achieve incremental improvements in patient outcomes.
4. Management Strategies:

Explore evidence-based conservative and rehabilitative management options for each condition.
5. Patient-Centered Care:

Incorporate shared decision-making and individualized care into treatment plans.
6. Practical Application:

Apply clinical knowledge to real-life case studies and scenarios.

Develop and present a comprehensive care plan for a patient with a complex spinal condition.

Clinical dry needling
Through interactive lectures, case discussions, and hands-on sessions, healthcare professionals will develop skills in early diagnosis, risk stratification, and conservative treatment.
