One of the most important goals of the patients with stroke is to correct their gait to meet their
functional needs. How can we perform a good analysis to detect a problem list to different kinds of patients?

Session Plan

  1. The workshop is full day, that will start at 10:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm (7hours). 

  2. Case studies and practical labs will be presented

  • 9:30 to 10:00 opening and registration 

  • 10:00 to 10:30 establishing the fundamentals and requirements of gait

  • 10:30 to 12:00 What are the central and peripheral systems that control locomotion?

  • 12:00 to 12:30 Case study/ Practical Lab on sensory distortions to gait 

  • 12:30 to 1:00 Case Study/ Practical Lab on improper right side and left side rhythmicity in locomotion

  • 1:00 to 1:30 friday prayers

  • 1:30 to 2:00 Case Study/ Practical Lab to target balance problems in locomotion

  • 2:00 to 2:30 the upper limb importance in gait

  • 2:30 to 3:00 Case Study/ Practical Lab on the improper eye hand coordination in gait

  • 3:00 to 4:00 Practical Lab: Facilitation of Gait with different key points of control

  • 4:00 to 5:00 Assessing the patients’ goals in relation to locomotion/ Practical Lab for locomotion



Individual Registration: 350 LE.
