One of the most important goals of the patients with stroke is to correct their gait to meet their
functional needs. How can we perform a good analysis to detect a problem list to different kinds of patients?

Detecting the personal and environmental factors that could limit the efficiency of gait.

Different Balance Impairments that limit the walking patterns.

Gait from the biomechanical point of view.

Sensory motor integration for an efficient gait treatment.
Session Plan

The workshop is full day, that will start at 10:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm (7hours).

Case studies and practical labs will be presented

9:30 to 10:00 opening and registration

10:00 to 10:30 establishing the fundamentals and requirements of gait
-
10:30 to 12:00 What are the central and peripheral systems that control locomotion?

12:00 to 12:30 Case study/ Practical Lab on sensory distortions to gait
-
12:30 to 1:00 Case Study/ Practical Lab on improper right side and left side rhythmicity in locomotion

1:00 to 1:30 friday prayers

1:30 to 2:00 Case Study/ Practical Lab to target balance problems in locomotion

2:00 to 2:30 the upper limb importance in gait

2:30 to 3:00 Case Study/ Practical Lab on the improper eye hand coordination in gait

3:00 to 4:00 Practical Lab: Facilitation of Gait with different key points of control

4:00 to 5:00 Assessing the patients’ goals in relation to locomotion/ Practical Lab for locomotion
